q4.jpg (22629 bytes) Berkshire’s MRP system is a completely integrated job-shop system. Orders are tracked from Order Entry to the shipment of the final product. The system uses customer schedules and forecasts to drive raw material and hardware requirements. Manufacturing cycle times and raw material lead-times are used to ensure raw material orders are placed in time to meet our customer schedules. Work center capacity’s are in real time allowing us to forecast and react to potential bottlenecks of equipment or people. Linked by EDI to our customers Berkshire’s schedules change and adjust as necessary to meet their ever changing requirements.

ENGINEERING

q3.jpg (14774 bytes) The engineering department prides itself on their concurrent engineering capabilities, Unigraphics solid modeling systems and their experience in processing complex parts from 4-Axis Mill / Drill / Turning to 5-Axis High Speed Milling. It is their expertise that will lead us to be a six sigma supplier to our customers.

Our continuous improvement process is driving our quality through SPC, Process Capability Studies and Black Belt Projects to our goal of being a Six Sigma Supplier. Our system is ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified and approved by the most demanding
